The Wessex Hotel in Bournemouth offers excellent value for money. The prices are affordable, especially considering its ideal location on the West Cliff area, making it within easy reach of the town centre. The friendly and attentive staff go above and beyond to ensure a comfortable stay. The basic amenities in the rooms, such as the large TV on top of the fridge, add an extra touch of convenience. Plus, the breakfast spread is delicious with a wide choice of dishes.
Everything was satisfactory and there were no major concerns.

We were there in early spring so the weather wasn't good for the beach. We had a toddler with us and enjoyed the indoor pool instead.
The rooms were "tired" and the single room was too small

This hotel is fantastic value for money. I found a great deal on Groupon which included a 2 night stay with breakfast and a 2 course evening meal. The breakfast was amazing, with a wide variety of options including fully cooked English breakfast, cereals, porridge, continental choices. They even had tea and coffee stations where you could help yourself. The dinner was also great, with a typed menu for the day and the food was good and plentiful. They even had menu prices displayed, which showed that the hotel offers very reasonable prices.
This hotel was fantastic and I couldn't find any faults.

Breakfast is the standout here, really tasty with a lot of choices.
The room was a bit of a letdown. It looked very old and worn, and the furniture was tatty and in need of updating.

I was pleasantly surprised by the value for money at this hotel. The prices were very reasonable considering the excellent location on the West Cliff area of Bournemouth. It was within easy reach of the town centre, although there was a slight uphill walk involved. The staff were attentive and the basic amenities were well-maintained. The rooms were comfortable with adjoining bedrooms, perfect for families like ours.
All in all, our stay at this hotel was great and we couldn't find anything that needed improvement.

The position of the hotel was very near the seafront and the centre of Bournemouth. The breakfasts were excellent and the swimming pool was very clean, warm and pleasant to use
The hotel seemed over warm. It would benefit from an extensive update although it was all very clean, just dated and tatty (apart from the reception/bar area)

The staff were very friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with any requests or issues we had during our stay. The hotel was conveniently located, just a short walk from the town and bars, making it easy to explore the city.- We really enjoyed the outdoor pool, especially after a long day of exploring. It was great to relax and unwind by the poolside.
The hotel itself felt outdated and in need of renovation. The decor in the rooms and common areas was old-fashioned and in some areas, the carpets were worn and in poor condition.

we found the staff to be very pleasant and they made our stay a good experience
the prices of the drinks and meals were a bit high and the choice of food in the restaurant was limited unless you liked things in sauces.we booked a table for the roast one evening but we cancelled as we were informed it would be a lamb shank in a sauce which we did not consider this to be a proper english roast
